China's Department Stores Report 2016-2017

China's department store sector has entered a 'deep-water zone' of business transformation and reached a tipping point in 2016. Increasing numbers of department store operators have actively explored new business models and retail formats with online-and-offline (O2O) retailing as the cornerstone. Alongside, a new round of elimination of underperformed players, adjustments and reorganization of the sector has begun.
